For example, lets say you have a friend who overcome a serious illness. The strengths they used to overcome this were determination, persistence, and optimistic thinking. You could take the determination displayed by your friend and use this when things get difficult or challenging. Anytime you feel like giving up on a goal just think back to what your friend had to go through to keep yourself motivated.
